Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>DRCOG produces regional crash data on a yearly basis. Crash data is reported by various agencies throughout the state to Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). DRCOG geocodes off-system locations not already geocoded by CDOT and clips data to the DRCOG boundary used for modeling. Geocoded locations may be inaccurate due to incomplete location descriptions or errors with address locators. Data originates from the completed DR2447 form. Crash data for the years 2015-2019 was combined into a single point file. The 'INJLEVEL' fields from annual crash data were used to code each record as fatal, serious injury, other injury, or property damage only. The condition being that if at least one person was killed, the crash is coded as fatal. If no individuals were killed but at least one person was seriously injured, it is coded as serious injury, etc. This is determined by using the INJLEVEL fields 0-4 (0 = no injury, prop damage assumed; 1 &amp; 2 = non-serious injury; 3 = serious injury; 4 = fatal)</SPAN></P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Available on the Regional Data Catalog: https://data.drcog.org/data?page=1&amp;q=Crashes&amp;sort=dataVintage</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
